I like the simplicity of it. The colors are sharp and will stand out against its peers (chargers and rams, two teams with similar colors).

Agree, the helmet should be black as the logo will contrast well. Put an orange stripe along the top center (Penn state), and the helmet will stand out in the league as clean, classic.

Here's a rendering I did....I thought I'd take the alt logo and blend it with the primary to make the helmet not so bland.....in addition to the claw marks. The sleeves also prominently display the alt in a Patriots kind of way.

And here's an alternate helmet using the alt logo as the featured one. The claw marks are shifted.....And yikes....it's orange.
