P.J. Walker vs. Luis Perez

So how many would be up for seeing this in the UFL next year?

Neither had a good completion percentage--both under 50%, but both had their moments. Both started with near picks, P.J.'s was nearly a pick-six deep in his own end, while LP was in line with the other two Charger QBs, who threw one pick and nearly three or four more. P.J. stepped up with two big boy throws on third and long, one to Easop Winston on third and 17 the other to Cody White on third and 11, both led to a Jason Myers field goal. LP's second pass was a rainbow to Jaylen Johnson for 36, but the drive ended up stalling as he tried to fit two into Brenden Rice (how cool would that have been?) that were easily broken up.

Was noted during the broadcast that LP was brought in out of Harbaugh's less-than-satisfaction with Easton Stick and Max Duggan. Michael Robinson, who did four of his games when he was a General, sounded like he had intel (he and Michael Bennett also saved a game where Kate Scott inexplicably turned into Mike Goldberg, Curt Menefee was rather missed).

Overall though, an obvious preseason matchup in August would be the dream matchup we were denied in 2020, especially if PJW were to return to the Roughnecks upon their expected return to TDECU.

One of the annoying things in watching all the games this weekend was how many announcers confused the spring leagues. I guess if you're not following along closely it can be a bit confusing but this is their job (and should be presented clearly in the notes packages they receive from the team). There was a USFL player in one game who the announcers said played in the XFL, and the announcers during Perez's game acted like his XFL Championship and game MVP season were this past year.
