Sounds like he's stepping down. Too bad, as his extensive NFL background was positive for the players and for the legitimacy of the league, not to mention the fact that he was entertaining to watch on the sidelines. As the article suggests, have to assume Anthony Blevins is one of the front-runners for the job. Has ties to the state having coached at Tennessee State previously.

Wonder if he had it to do all over again he'd be as flippant (like what I did there?) towards PC and the Seahawks when they wanted to hire him in 2018. A small measure of 'told you so' that his last game was the Dec Mon nighter in Seattle where all the Vikings managed was a garbage time TD pass from Cousins to Thielen. And while he somehow wound up an OC again the next year he clearly wasn't what he was when he was drawing McVay/Shanahan comparisons.

Connections and background mean jack if you ain't got dubs to back them up. If he's stepping down cause of burnout, more power to him, he got two cracks at the bag with one being a success; if it's something else, specifically an ego thing, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
