anywhere to get training camp reports

One of the sad parts of spring football is the lack of media reporting.    Are all the teams in Arlington for camp?   if so it seems like a single reporter could give a run down of activity.

I really don't know why there isn't much reporting. I mean, Fox owns a station in Dallas, at least have their sports reporter filing stuff for affiliates. Isn't that the whole point of taking advantage of all these synergies and stuff?

Thankfully the league's social media has been putting out lots of clips. But that's more promotional stuff than news.

You would think it would be easy for the league to embed a writer or two in Arlington and have them file daily practice reports on the website. But we aren't even getting that.

The local sports media is busy covering the World Series Champions Texas Rangers at Spring Training in Arizona.

You mentioned in recent podcast about looking at going to Open practice during your break... but weren't sure if they even had any.

I'm sure there will be others.

It is definitely lacking. The UFL web site doesn't have any training camp news. In the past the XFL had a few writers posting updates periodically, talking about who was in camp and who was competing for different jobs. I know that some teams are now holding media availability times on Zoom and I have been to a few, as well As Greg Parks, and we have written about what we have heard. But that is a drop in the bucket.

Real football fans want to hear the details, and its real football fans that are great supporters of this league.

Slammer66, back in 2001 we had reporters in the Birmingham Bolts stadium that were so excited they had to be told not to cheer in the press box. I'm sure you remember that. :) That is still one of my favorite XFL 2001 stories.

LOL that’s one of the first things you learn when you cover sports live for any outlet.

Yea,  security guy was not happy.  But I regret nothing,  that game winning play was the last we would ever see from the hapless bolts

Speaking of which, there were allegedly preseason half-games held today. Anybody have any info on scores/etc?
