The new league is coming out guns blazing... Loving all this after seeing some piss poor performances in CFB yesterday and NFL today.

The USFL Champ vs the @XFL2023 Champ
Who is coming out on top when these two face off in Week 1 of the UFL season, @USFLStallions or @XFLRenegades?

I gotta make a historical note to celebrate this happening.....the last time I can remember (no I wasn't there, but I learned about)....a champion of one league entering a new league and it's first outing being against the other leagues champion was the AAFC Cleveland Browns entering the NFL in 1950 and immediately facing the defending NFL champion Philadelphia Eagles and defeating them.
So this the "Spring Super Bowl" to those who held a banner for one or the other. I guess this will be a hot talking point for the hardcores to argue about right up to the March 30 kickoff. It's something you want to promote and milk the heck out of to get the biggest launch possible.

Plus you had a Super Bowl rematch in week one of the merged NFL 20 years later, Chiefs vs Vikings with Minnesota winning 27-10. They actually opened with both prior NFL champions on the road, playing in Baltimore in the second ABC MNF game (winning 44-24).
Would the same thing happen with the Renegades, a week two "X-Bowl" rematch with the Defenders in DC? Kinda harsh but remember it's also Final Four weekend so if the league's gonna be bringing it schedule-wise it would fit with that theme.
