If this is the case, then the league has a communication problem. Hopefully McCarron's concerns are addressed and we see an announcement about him signing too.

The league has not officially announced Ta'amu signing, perhaps because they are waiting for the Super Bowl to blow over and then they can spark up the promotions machine.
I'm surprised McCarron is even considering it given that he got substantial NFL playing time this year and we've seen others with less, including DiNucci and Parker Romo, turn the UFL down.
McCarron is also several years older than both of those guys, and his priorities seem to be in a different place. Remember, the big draw for the XFL for him was having his kids see him play consistently. He won't be guaranteed that if he stays in the NFL for another season.

Along those lines AJ McCarron has earned over $9mm in his career.  Including over $400k in XFL/NFL in 2023.  The XFL certainly got him that last 388k in NFL 2023.  But now playing and risking injury in the UFL, sans a sizable check, may be more detrimental.  $9mm is a lot of money at 33 yo.

Conversely Ta'amu has only earned $172k in NFL.  He's likely earned more in XFL/USFL in total.  Totally different position than McCarron.  He NEEDS  the UFL, McCarron does not.  And at 26 yo pretty young for a qb.
