Nice puff piece here from the Sun's Q&A with Woodson:
https://lasvegassun.com/news/2022/oct/0 ... ron-as-la/
Woodson references Las Vegas's support of the Outlaws in 2001, which is interesting that it would even be on his radar. He also talks about the NFL/XFL relationship, his input into the logo ("we need some black somewhere in the uniform") and where the team will play ("If they put AstroTurf on a concrete block somewhere in the middle of the 215, we’ll play on it").

Re: Las Vegas Sun interview with Rod Woodson
So refreshing to hear someone talk about 2001 like that. It was flawed. 2020 needed to create distance. But it was also awesome, and it deserves to be remembered and honored.
That stadium answer is not lowering my anxiety.

I missed this the first time but included it in my article on the front page today - Woodson's comments about the XFL luring players from the transfer portal to play and then go into the draft in April, similar to Kenny Robinson, was very interesting to me. I'd love for the XFL to be a player in that space.
