Then what are your expectations as far as how the divisions will be laid out?

If the go USFL 8+XFL 4 I don't see less than 8 teams playing home games at their home name.laxtreme56 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 4:45 pm Not only that, the 6 hub model makes no sense. Unless something drastic changes, you already have 4 stadiums for the USFL to play in. So in this case I guess DC and St. Louis are hubs? We know there's no way DC is becoming a hub, and St. Louis may sound ideal but it really isn't. Part of the Battlehawks popularity is its relative scarcity. 5 home games makes each game a big event. Having the Generals play random "home" games in the Lew just devalues the whole thing. I can see a very real possibility of no Houston home team next year due to stadium situation, but giving up on Arlington and San Antonio would be insane.
They should give up on the Arlington moniker and go back to Dallas.laxtreme56 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 4:45 pm I can see a very real possibility of no Houston home team next year due to stadium situation, but giving up on Arlington and San Antonio would be insane.

I think I prefer the 3 division model. I guess it depends on who makes the cut tea wise I guess.4th&long wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 4:43 pm If the 8+4 model is true..

3 Divisions:
North:
NJ, Philly, DC, Ohio/Pitt
Central:
Mich, StL, Memphis, Birm
South:
NOLA, AR, Houston, SA
That minimizes travel costs once all teams IN location. Play everyone in Division 2x.
Alternative:
2 Divisions:
North:
NJ, Philly, DC, Ohio/Pitt, Mich, StL
South:
Memphis, Birm, NOLA, AR, Houston, SA
Play everyone in Division 1x, rest across div
And who plays where and housed where and how many games? Still up in air
I think the 3 divisions really works well for Travel and any hub based teams. Also the rivalries are in the design. Philly Wash, NJ Philly, Stl Memphis, Memphis Birm, Houston AR, AR SA, SA Houston.XFLUSFLGUY wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 6:51 pmI think I prefer the 3 division model. If they are getting $$$ they'll keep Arlington, the minute they don't .... its Dallas!Lone Star wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 5:41 pmThey should give up on the Arlington moniker and go back to Dallas.laxtreme56 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 4:45 pm I can see a very real possibility of no Houston home team next year due to stadium situation, but giving up on Arlington and San Antonio would be insane.
