Sounds like the standard sports venue rental deal. Win-Win for both parties.

It goes to show you though why having capital is so important to starting a pro league. As Oliver Luck stated because of the league’s funds. Renting a world class venue was easy for The XFL. It’s a matter of the league having the right partners and I think that St. Louis will be that for the league.

Exactly. lol.... I am not taking that group seriously. It's basically started by a faction of ex football players who feel that The AAF and XFL are conservative agenda type leagues. Hence their blatant rip off of "Football Reimagined and A True Alliance".

The XFL's selection of cities and venues is all leading up to that TV contract. Truth be told, it will make or break the league. The XFL went for 8 of the top 20 TV markets and chose big time venues. It's all about that broadcast rights contract. That's really why they didn't go with smaller markets.

They are angling for that more-so than even attendance. Can they get anything similar to what WNBA and MLS has. You can forget about any kind of WWE or Nascar deal but an agreement similar to MLS or WNBA would be great for the league. The only way the XFL survives is if Vince gets a return on his investment with the TV deal. He's prepared to lose money in the early going, just to get the league up and running but the tv money will determine whether the league survives.
