Plus with Ticketmaster running things, a lot of that "attendance" is scalpers who swooped in and/or out-of-town rivals looking for readily available seats.

In a market as super crowded as Los Angeles, I doubt an XFL team can succeed there. Well not in Los Angeles County anyways. It might work in Orange County (over in Anaheim) but it be a Las Vegas Vipers situation as Santa Ana Stadium only seats 9,000 and the largest stadium in Orange County is a baseball stadium. Cashman and Choctaw are former baseball stadiums and those are fine, but active baseball stadiums should be a non-starter for any spring league.
