If you don't like it don't pay any attention to it. But how dare either use this to their advantage.

Just go root for the Panthers or something, dude. Creating content from something, however minuscule you think it may be, is still a good idea in the offseason. It's not about hardcore fans of spring football, it's to engage and get the eyeballs of casual fans in the offseason.BattleHawks wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 9:01 pmThere is no advantage gained from PR that no one gives a flying fuck aboutMGB01 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2023 7:04 pmI hate to tell you this but should you get your way and the BattleHawks end up in the USFL THEY.....DO.....THE.....SAME.....THING (check FB, X, and hell the front of the site still has the McGough signing), just a heads up

The best free advertising that either the XFL or USFL can get is whenever a player makes a NFL team out of these leagues is when the announcers acknowledge it during NFL broadcasts. It just might get the casual NFL viewer who hasn't given the time of day to these leagues to maybe check it out.

Which is why Austin Faoliu would have been perfect, the chance to play for two playoff teams in Seattle the same year. He might have a chance since he's still on PUP (not the active roster), meaning they don't have to do anything with him during cutdowns.Sounder wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 9:41 am The best free advertising that either the XFL or USFL can get is whenever a player makes a NFL team out of these leagues is when the announcers acknowledge it during NFL broadcasts. If Levi Bell makes the team you'll hear it, especially however many games they get Kevin Kugler (him and Sanchez did five Hawk games last year, including both Rams--and guess who's getting 9/10? ). Plus if they end up with Moose for a game.

Updated after Alex McGough today. The USFL will smartly push all the mileage out of it that they can get. Sure, the guy in coverage (Benjie Franklin) who gave up the big play from McGough to Bonds' ceiling will be a hopeful of either league, but it's still the league MVP leading a comeback in an NFL game--preseason or not.
Hell, it's worked for Kyle Sloter--in a game that had McG on the other side no less.
