Curiously, he noted that the Battlehawks would remain in operation "for the really long run," as if somehow they'd try to keep the team alive if the league fails. But that's my weirdo speculation.
They're staying at eight teams for 2024.
They indeed sought bookings for all eight stadiums as potential homes for the championship. So St. Louis hasn't won it yet.
Brandon noted that the XFL had taken its playoff tiebreakers directly from the NFL, but that they never expected the St. Louis/Seattle situation to be so close to go as deep into them as they did.
