The full slate of preseason contests will now be accessible to all fans. In-season, TSN and RDS will continue to be the home of the CFL in Canada. In the U.S., CBS Sports Network and CFL+ will split broadcasting duties, while the online platform will also deliver the full season to all fans outside of North America.

Guess they couldn't convince another network/streaming service to pony up the rights for the games. At least it's free, and hopefully not too laggy. This won't do much for growing beyond their current niche audience though. At least on ESPN+ you might attract a few casual fans scrolling the service.

The more you look at this it seems like a lame attempt to appeal to a US audience. Lame, because the streaming choice is still limited, and it is only a live stream. (No option to time shift?)

What's this? No Paramount+, as was insisted here a couple weeks back? So, no WPG/MTL on big CBS July 1 following the third round of the Rocket Mortgage Classic?
You know we had a running joke on UFL Access years ago about San Antonio, IRT UTSA declaring that they would be in the Big XII within a decade, having a team called the DOGS (Delusions Of Grandeur). Maybe we need to move that up north

He seems to have disappeared since Admin posted a thread about confrontational users and closed the thread about the CFL on CBS Sports Network.
As for this news, since CFL+ is free, I may decide to use this to watch CFL games!

How many of us were on that board, anyway?
And what is Nation Hahn up to these days...

I'll take partial blame/responsibility for his departure. I know I can get feisty sometimes... but good grief, he was definitely a troll and this place is far more peaceful and the discussions more fruitful with him gone.
So my thanks to the administrators.

As for the free platform... yay. Sad that CBS wasn't willing to take on the inventory, or even ESPN/ESPN+ (given its stake in TSN and willingness to import their other programs like the NLL) —but giddy that it no longer requires a separate subscription. I have my TV wired to my desktop so I'll be able to watch the games without any problems.
