>> CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie has dismissed rumours that legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady was part of a group interested in purchasing the Montreal Alouettes.
“All I can say is I don’t remember talking to Tom at any point during the process, so I don’t know where that rumour came from,” Ambrosie said during an appearance on 620 CKRM’s The Sportscage. “Look, he’s obviously an iconic figure in the game of football and had Tom indicated some interest, we would have loved to have talked to him. But I can honestly say this, there’s no way you could make me more thrilled than I am to welcome Pierre Karl Péladeau into the league.”

Speculation around Brady’s interest in the Alouettes was sparked earlier this week by Saskatchewan media personality Rod Pedersen, who revealed on his daily sports show that a source told him the 45-year-old was part of a group intrigued by the idea of owning the CFL franchise — though he was not the chief financial backer. Pedersen stood by his report following Ambrosie’s comments, calling them “not a denial” and alleging that a second “big sports name” was involved. <<

It's just Rod Petersen doing damage control from looking foolish like the time he said the Calgary Stampeders were going to be sold to someone with a WWE connection(DJ?). Petersen is hiding behind an undisclosed source to make himself credible.
I believe Ambrosie on this one.
It never too late for Brady to buy in a CFL franchise. He can buy into Halifax, Quebec City or London, Ont. Brady has enough sway to put together a consortium. The CFL would never turn him down. It's better than the WNBA or Cryptocurrency. If Brady doesn't like the expansion team's win-loss record, he can always coach or play

There are still people who doubt that Brady is retired for good because he did the same thing last year. Now, I think he's 60% retired, but I will not be 100% sure of that until week 18 comes and goes and he's not on any NFL roster.

Brady's retired. He's moved on from Giselle, now banging Reese Witherspoon. A step down if you ask me. Witherspoon is cute, but not a knockout like Giselle is

We'll see what happens in the 2023 season.

I'd deny it as rumor too if I got inside of RS.

I'm a bit surprised that former CFL/NFL players don't get more involved in owning CFL franchises. They don't cost much (relatively) and could be a way for guys to stay around the game without coaching. Somebody like Jeff Garcia, for example. Meanwhile Tom Brady probably spends more on a weekend vacation.

Exactly. Particular former Afro-American players that want to get their foot into management and ownership. They would never get accepted into the NFL league after the lawsuits from several former coaches filed stating they were denied coaching positions based on racial discrimination
