Nathan Rourke to begin working out for NFL teams

Rourke was 10/12 for 121 yards, 0 TDS and 0 INTs.
Beathard was 12/20 for 138 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT.

And yet...

CJ Beathard fits the whole "mediocre QB but great game study in the QB room, which is why he still has a roster spot in the NFL" category. The NFL is littered with those guys as either second or third, forcing a younger, better QB that has potential to either the alternative leagues or practice squads. Beathard, Tim Boyle, Matt Barkley, Kyle Allen, Nathan Peterman, John Wolford (hope he's okay after the hit he took tonight in Tampa), Trevor Siemian, Nick Mullens, Mason Rudolph, Blaine Gabbert, Brian Hoyer and Nate Sudfeld are those guys who constantly get NFL jobs because of what they do in the QB Room. Basically, they are a second (or even third) QB Coach. Chase Daniel is a free agent and hasn't ruled out a return. Now one could argue that Chad Henne fits into this category, but in Kansas City, the recently retired Henne is considered a post-season hero for the Chiefs.

All of those guys fit the category of "video study" Quarterbacks.
