To celebrate the June 24 North Division Championship and July 1 USFL Championship Game at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, the USFL is giving football fans the opportunity to make deposits on 2024 season tickets at its host site in Canton, Ohio.

The USFL will announce details about team(s) that will play the 2024 regular season in Canton at a later date, but fans don’t have to wait to lock in your priority for season tickets. Fans can now make a $24 deposit for 2024 season tickets at Canton’s Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium through this link. <<

Very interesting. Here's hoping it's "team".

Canton Generals is my guess. Also, looks like another year of hub football..

I really hope not. N-NJ/NY is their biggest TV market by far, I can't see them abandoning that.

Possible Options:

1) Pittsburgh alone
2) Pitt and one NE team at least partiallly
3) Move NOLA there as a Canton/Cleveland/Ohio team
4) Pitt and Houston ( while renovations on going)
5) Pitt and mix of teams to avoid poor weather in Memphis and Birm late in Season.

If the league is keeping the Stars and Generals in their designated places, I can't see it happening for Houston. If you have Philly and NY/NJ for market size and TV purposes, do you really need Houston? I have serious doubts that Houston is able to sustain three Pro Football teams (Texans included) who play outdoors. A third Houston team could work if one of them played indoors.

Houston is only indirectly there for market size. Its bigger role is to give the league a presence west of the Mississippi River; all four of the hubs are east of the Mississippi.

I don't see the Gamblers ever setting foot in Houston. Not as long as the Roughnecks are around. But as long as the hub model is still being used—and re-upping in Canton is a big sign that's going to continue—they can continue calling that team the "Houston Gamblers" as long as they want.

Of course, why not use another brand like the LA Express or Oakland Invaders? (Chicago Blitz has already been lost years ago.)

Houston is their only large market in the south since the left TB. I do think Houston can support two short season spring FB teams. But a bigger issue may be weather in Houston in late spring, T-storms and humid maynot work for fans and TV. With XFL taking 2 domes, which would help with weather, USFL choices may be limited. Is Indiana with no NHL or MLB and a has a dome an option?

As a resident of Ohio this is exciting as we are always overlooked for teams in new leagues. I think the Pittsburgh Maulers will be Canton's team, and be either be the Canton Maulers or renthemed to the Canton Bulldogs. I think if the USFL is to go to home markets they'll use MLS stadiums as well.

Birmingham Progressive Field
Memphis Liberty Bowl
New Orleans to Yulman Stadium
Houston is the only wildcard, can they go to soccer stadium, or will the USFL move them to Canton leaving the Maulers in Pitt using an unknown stadium

I guess we will find out someday.
