Close game. Philly Offense vs Mich ST and Def. Lots of exciting plays. But while no fan of Josh Love starting Perry is a tall task. 20-15 Philly 2:30 left in 3rd.

At the half, Fox was running promos for next week, with the Stars pretty much penciled in. I wonder if the Panthers watch tv?
If you're going to showcase the league in prime time, this is the kind of game that can draw you in if you just happen upon it. The drawback is, the Panthers winning would be great for that loyal fanbase, however, just like the Arlington Renegades, you'll have a 4-6 team in. In fact, isn't Pittsburgh 4-6 too?

Not only will both be 4-6, but they're both essentially offensively anemic and completely rely on special teams and defense. Arlington at least had hope in that Luis Perez is a legit QB.
Having said that, I have no doubt that whoever manages to win that slog will probably beat Birmingham 12-7 on 3 safeties and 2 field goals.

At this point, Cookus will need to go Bugs Bunny and start blocking for himself and catching his own passes.

Andrus should have gone for it on 4th down with 2min left instead of punt, only mistake coaching I recall. Injuries did in Philly when Coleman went down, and Williams too. Things flipped when Luis Aguilar's kick hit that darn crossbar. Perry has fire. Something other's like Josh Love, Brady White or even a Zach Wilson don't and you need that in the this sport.
Poor Philly lost 3 straight games late. Likely with Colburn and Coleman best team in north, If they beat NJ they'd likely sit guys Wk 10 going into playoffs. Wasn't meant to be. With the injuries perhaps better they lost.
Give Nolan credit - he rolled the Dice after Love shit bed last week. Perry's fire got the team motivated and they pulled it out. If Perry sucked Nolan would be blasted - so good for him.
Special Teams lives in the USFL - GOOD! F### the NFL on that.
Two Def / ST teams playing next Saturday on NBC - I hope there's some action. Perry is new against that Pitt D. At least he got a game in.
With that said - the 2 smallest North markets and South with 2 even (way) smaller markets. That won't help TV ratings for playoffs and Championship. XFL had 2 major markets. As far as the 4-6 teams, yeah would be better with 5-5 philly but in the end didn't impact XFL and won't in USFL. As long as entertaining and fun FB.
Back to tonight - Fun game in the end, good enough crowd treated to a home win! Agree with Sounder, if you happen upon this game, it can help suck you in.
Playoffs next - LFG!

A few thoughts on this game:
I can't comment on the quality of play in the game because I was listening to it while doing other things, but I did watch the ending.
I found the crowd singing "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye" funny. FOX really needs to bring the Stars to Phily because this is a great rivalry.
The players really wanted to win the game. The disappointment of the Stars players and the celebration of the Panthers players made the game feel meaningful.
Hopefully Case Cookus will return to the Stars next season and get a revenge win against the Panthers in Philadelphia.

Exceptional fan turnout last night for the @USFLPanthers. Without a doubt, the loudest it's been all year.
The #USFL is here to stay in Detroit. Excited to see the growth in year three. What a special season it turned out to be at Ford Field. <<
