Big news coming out of the #USFL
@USFLStars
starting QB Bryan Scott is OUT indefinitely with a knee injury
Scott was leading the league in both passing yards & TDs before injury last week
He suffered a non-contact knee injury in Week 3 that kept him out all 2nd half <<

Re: QB Bryan Scott out Indefinitely
It’s tough to see any player go down with an injury. With qbs at a premium, this news is especially bad for the USFL being that Scott was clearly one of the very best qbs in the league. He helped make the Stars one of the better teams to watch, IMO. Hopefully he can get back on the field this season but to me the tone of his message seems to suggest otherwise.
Brandon Silvers name came to mind as a possible replacement to add depth behind Cookus but I believe he may have signed with FCF.

If he can't switch to USFL at $4500+ a week, then FCF isn't going to last long.
If anyone hears of a QB signing by the Stars, please post it here. Thanks!

Re: QB Bryan Scott out Indefinitely
First of all, I haven't seen Silvers in FCF (though I've only watched the evening games). The FCF website is down so I don't know what their roster looks like right now.
Second, Silvers played with Manziel in Memphis (AAF). If Silvers is in FCF, Johnny probably recruited Brandon to join the league.
Third. Remember the USFL contract: they can hold a player hostage and prevent them from playing elsewhere in 2023 for any reason. Silvers may very well be protecting his future XFL and/or CFL prospects. Remember, Silvers was one of the half-million dollar players in the XFL in 2020.
If Silvers refuses to join the USFL, that tells me more about what players think of the USFL.

Silvers wouldn’t refuse he went undrafted(USFL newsroom confirmed he was in the supplemental draft) so he definitely wanted to play in the USFL but he is now signed to fcf, making his debut this weekjohnnyangryfuzzball wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 4:35 pmFirst of all, I haven't seen Silvers in FCF (though I've only watched the evening games). Again you are talking about XFL 3.0 as if its XFL 2.0. Its NOT. Ta'Amu and Perez both signed and some reports are QB's may have gotten more than 4.5k+ a game.johnnyangryfuzzball wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 4:35 pmFirst of all, I haven't seen Silvers in FCF (though I've only watched the evening games). Not playing FB since 2020 into 2023 isn't a good plan IMO. 2022 is here. Now.

Thx Herns. That sounds more like it. He needs to bail on FCF if USFL comes calling.herns wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 4:44 pmSilvers wouldn’t refuse he went undrafted(USFL newsroom confirmed he was in the supplemental draft) so he definitely wanted to play in the USFL but he is now signed to fcf, making his debut this weekjohnnyangryfuzzball wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 4:35 pmFirst of all, I haven't seen Silvers in FCF (though I've only watched the evening games). I think they have non competes in the contract so for the rest of the year he’s stuck with an NFT team even if another league offers4th&long wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 6:04 pmThx Herns. Somebody might wanna tell the USFL PTB that after yet another own goal. Seriously, Moose is probably on the phone with Rock saying 'I was just doing all those promos you used to do, nothing else'.4th&long wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 6:02 pmAgain you are talking about XFL 3.0 as if its XFL 2.0.
