Friday night’s #USFL game on USA Network between the New Jersey Generals and Michigan Panthers averaged 364,000 viewers. Down from last week’s 771k showing on USA.
The game score a 0.07 in the 18-49 demo. And was ranked 72nd out of 150 cable telecasts.

An ugly game and Friday night which isn't the best mix for viewing. Still, below 500k on USA Network is a bit concerning.

That's below my downside number of 400k (cable avg for season), so not good. Two NBA games plus other events took a toll and USA is not where one would look for sports of this type.
Lets see how FS1 did Saturday night.
Having said that TSL averaged just 81k on FS1 I believe so 4.5x that. And it beat Wk1 FS1 Monday by 100k. It's more in line with NFLN AAF in winter or NHL on TNT/TBS.
Fox/USFL need to cross promote more for NBC/USA games.

Do we know what USA normally averages in that time slot?

No but ESPN got 300k for NHL Thursday at 8pm.
There were 2 NBA games (ABC/ESPN and Smackdown) - tough sell. And the game was boring, but close at least.
USFL has work cut out for them but not totally unexpected.

It's usually not in the top 150, I'm willing to bet they haven't had that since the last time they had the Masters or U.S. Open (tennis), which was 15 years ago. But just getting USA into the top 150 on Fridays (and the bottom of the top half at that) hardly seems a great use of resources.
Either way, this doesn't look good for Sat/Sun to follow.

Sure but the NHL has been around for decades and nobody is going to question whether or not the NHL will fold with 300k on TV for their games. 300K is my threshold for USFL. If it goes under that next week or even for the rest of their TV broadcasts from this week, then I will be concerned for the USFL's future.

The point is they get $$$ for that as does MLS with their sub 300k avg, even Mike Mul. said it, he must be listening to me.

They get the money because of their longevity. USFL would not be able to get that type of money with 300K.
