"It's an opportunity to help a young player get to the NFL."
Gross.

I'm guessing that next week is when it starts to become game-specific, more All or Nothing than Hard Knocks. This week there's a few weeks worth of camp to go off of, and the exhibition game as well, so probably more the former.
The live promo on Smackdown tomorrow night should be interesting to see if P-Mc starts groaning (the Paul Heyman treatment during promos for XFL1.0), considering they wanted to him to punt. Considering he's been out of football for over five years and has totally crossed into the next life it really wouldn't have made any sense--you might have just gone full-blitz for TO in that case.

is what it is. End goal for most of these guys is the nfl and if you get players to the nfl you get better players. It’s the same thought process the xfl had behind having Kenny Robinson.

The XFL lines wasn't putting lines like that in their videos. The AAF was though.

The XFL also didn’t have a behind the scenes show to put that stuff out there in video form. That stuff was still said by Oliver Luck for example a quote after they signed K-Rob “Over the course of about three months we told Kenny that he could improve himself in the NFL draft by playing in the XFL,”. Basically all I’m saying is don’t get overly worked up by that line as it’s been the same for all these leagues

Totally disagree that it's at all similar in tone to the XFL. They took tremendous pains to keep the focus on their own league. I'm sure quotes like that happened; that's wholly different than prominently featuring it on your own trailer.

I think it’s just a matter of the xfl didn’t have a trailer to feature that stuff in. Just gave a quote that is similar. I think they would’ve promoted Robinson as trying to get to the NFL if they had a show back then because if it works it helps brings more transfer portal guys to your league. As long as the league sticks by it’s word of trying to be the MLS of the football world and not a minor league and doesn’t feel minor league on TV I’m happy

It would be stupid and moronic for any league to block it's players from going to the NFL if they have a chance to. It would not help a league attract players who's goal is to get enough experience to try to make it to the NFL. Instead that league instead might get players who normally play semi pro ball or flag football or players well past their NFL primes who still think they can still play but know their NFL windows have closed.

The D-XFL 3.0 will be for sure.
