“Johnston tells us FOX and NBC are going all in on the production value. They’ll have more assets in place in Birmingham than they do for the NFC Championship.”

We should hope so. Buck was annoying (Pass is.................) but he did have that big game feel, so whatever works here.
Menefee was never higher than the fifth guy at FOX before he moved to FOX NFL Sunday but has proven his play by play chops as Seahawks preseason PBP and on the XFL, he'll do fine (fun fact, he actually did a game with Buck and Brian Baldinger in 2001), and Klatt is well-established as GuJo's partner come the fall. We'll see who NBC has, they had a pretty impressive team for the Arena League so I would hope for something similar here.
However, reviewing an old thread, it can't be botch-a-mania like the Nebraska/Illinois game was last year,

Now granted it was more the production end than announcing (and they just named Joe Davis as Buck's MLB playoffs replacement so it's not like they thought he was terrible) but that's part of the deal too. Looks like they know it as well.

I think by asserts it means more cameras, mics, like that sorts thing. I like the broadcast teams fine but they aren’t crazy, just why was there in 2020
