>> Whether the upstart USFL can succeed where other spring football leagues have failed remains to be seen, but there’s little doubt that the league’s first game will draw a large audience.
Both NBC and Fox will simulcast the first USFL game on Saturday, April 16, according to Sports Business Journal. The prime time game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET.
It’s extremely rare for two broadcast networks to simulcast the same game, and it guarantees that plenty of people will watch. <<

SBJ is saying Nbc will be doing a pre and post game shows as well as the half time stuff. Sounds like the two networks will truly be coming together to do one massive event

Just took a look at the tickets and they're dirt cheap—$10 a pop, with free admission for anyone 15 and under. They really want people in those seats so that they can play the opening game to a packed house. Some people might show up who don't particularly care about football just because it's a fun way to spend a Saturday night.
I wonder what prices will look like for the rest of the season. There's no way they'll break even at $10 a ticket, but as others have pointed out, it looks like the league's marketing strategy for this season is to try and build up fanbases for each team through TV coverage, and the bigger the crowd, the bigger the effect. The city and county governments have committed $3.5 million to cover any losses from hosting the events, so the league has a bit of leeway. Looks like they're going to use it.

They don’t care about making money from tickets, $10 all year. The business model of this league is drastically different than xfl, cfl, or aaf. They will make money through tv ads, NBC tv contract, and gambling

This is the first scheduled simulcast between networks since Super Bowl I, so that tells you how big a deal we got going here. Just wonder what's in store to match.

Frank Gifford and Pat Summerall (sideline reporter) on CBS as well, fact Summerall (who also did the trophy presentation) sort of ended up doing both as he also appeared on Super Bowl III for NBC as the "NFL analyst", making him and Madden the only duo to do Super Bowls on three different networks (Madden did all four)
