Only game that really drug was Mich/NJ, cause it had like four or five injuries at the end. What we gonna do now, bring back the Karen (Pam Ward) from the bowl game that complained about Vinny Curry being injured?
I do expect a lot from XFL3.0 now, after all the free lessons they're received in what not to do.

OK, crip notes version:
FOX sabotaged it
Bryan Scott killed his knee for games that now don't count
They did this for who exactly?
And as a part B to the latter, all of one game drug. A game that was at the four-minute mark at 10:40 ET and only did so because of penalties and injuries. I referred to this bowl game on ESPN in 2009:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9Nfla0CmH0
.........where Pam Ward, who thought she was off mic, starts complaining about Vinny Curry's injury, as a "Well what do you wanna do?" to the above situation.
Why the need to do this? Let me guess, cause of the SNL finale coming up? In that case just cancel the league or merge with the XFL and stop wasting everybody's time.

Re: Clock changes to speed up game?
Why do the games not matter? A small rule change doesn't mean any game before them doesn't matter. I don't get what you're trying to say.MGB01 wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 9:03 pm OK, crip notes version:

Yeah I agree, the announced target time was always under 3 hours specfic for tv, it's a minor change to get to that target.SamTheRam28 wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 9:42 pmWhy do the games not matter? I have Zero idea how this impacts Bryan Scott at all.

Re: Clock changes to speed up game?
Simple, they've played 12 games thus far. After four, the balls were changed to accommodate kickers who can barely kick any better than they did in week one. After the next eight, this. Since games 13-43 will be played differently, it's logical to say that this is just a giant exhibition--especially when the next changes are coming in say three weeks--and thus the games don't matter. Bryan Scott could have given up the rest of his career for this, but I'm glad you can just brush it off as some "minor change"
Hell why not let Woods just call it the SXFL and be done with it? Not only is it Spring Xperimental, but we've seen at least two players get screwed (Smith and whoever gave up his spot to Ben "Matt Riddle's bro" Holmes), plenty of time for the trifecta.

Re: Clock changes to speed up game?
Hmmm, Not sure why you think that way. It's a minor midseason rule change that applies to all 8 teams equally, same as the kicking balls. Bryan Scott doessn't care a ratts azz about this change. The NFL was changing covid rules left and right last year, that actually cost teams players on the field that had not symptoms. In fact one week they made 2/3 changes over the course of 3-5 days.MGB01 wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 10:15 pm Simple, they've played 12 games thus far. Re: Clock changes to speed up game?
Why would Scott care/not care? I laid out the only game that really dragged, and it was largely cause of injuries, which would point to, you know, the guy that just got hurt. What's next, is James Woods' character from Any Given Sunday gonna come out and tell Cap Rooney to get up cause TV went to break (with the minor change to Pam Ward doing PBP)?4th&long wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 10:27 pmHmmm, Not sure why you think that way. Three hours and change is more than acceptable for a game, that's why they put it in 3.5 hour windows. And if FOX is doing this cause they have a 9:00 local start maybe they should stop doing the occasional 9:00 CT college game (like FS1 most recently did in 2020) if they're so worried.

Re: Clock changes to speed up game?
Honestly dude, what the hell are you talking about? An evolving rulebook does not mean any games prior to a certain change are exhibitions or didn't matter. I have no clue why you apparently think that is the case. And I still don't know what Bryan Scott has to do with any of this. Like 4th&long said, he probably could not care less about this minor change.MGB01 wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 10:15 pm Simple, they've played 12 games thus far. And the De'Veon Smith thing has been beaten to death. We don't and will never have the full context of what happened. And the fact that no team has picked him up yet despite him vocally asking to play for another team speaks volumes. And as for Ben Holmes, I don't know what your point is. We saw that he was not good enough and got cut. That's football. How is that any different from what every NFL team does every year with dozens of players?

Re: Clock changes to speed up game?
Reaching? There was no reason to do this, especially coming off the biggest momentum weekend for an alt league going back to at least NFLE (maybe UFL week 2 in 2010 but we know where that went).
Do they have to come up with something every week to make it look like they put this league together in three months?
