Which is why St Louis and San Antonio should be the clubhouse leaders right off the bat.

Maybe the initial release about Barlow indirectly leaked it
They should be. If they go to Dallas, not a chance Jerry World would ever be used.

When the news broke that Reggie Barlow was going to be an XFL coach, the original rumor was that he was going to the San Antonio team. More recent rumors suggest that's not the case, and that he's actually probably slated for DC. MGB01 is suggesting that maybe the original rumor was slightly garbled -- Barlow wasn't slated for the San Antonio team, but if the XFL runs a hub in San Antonio, that would be where he (and everyone else) would be coaching.

The initial tweet from Sean Robertson of WTVR about Barlow taking the job in SA.

Might have also been in the release from VSU too, which if it was has since been edited out.

Well ... probably not, but who knows. I'm sure they'd be open to it if the XFL is willing to pay for it. Maybe for the championship game.

What would make the Metroplex interesting is just the wide range of stadiums available. Between TCU, SMU, NT, UT Arlington, Toyota Field, Globe Life Field, Globe Life Park, the Cotton Bowl, AT&T Stadium, and the Ford Center, you could give every team a home stadium and still have viable venues leftover, if you were so inclined.

No to Globe Life Field because the last thing an upstart football league needs to play football games in a baseball stadium that is brand new and has at least another 25-30 years of baseball left and not a converted former baseball stadium like Globe Life Park (now known as Choctaw Stadium). It has to be either football stadiums or soccer stadiums that can easily convert to football.

Both Globe Life Field and Globe Life Park can and have accommodated football. Not saying it makes a ton of sense, but they are options that would work. And if you value a roof over your head, obviously Globe Life Field offers that.

Just because Globe Life Field can accommodate football doesn't mean it should be used for an upstart league. It should not be an option because the XFL would be laughed at if one of their main venues is an existing MLB stadium. That is the last thing a new league needs.

It's no longer Globe Life Park. Its' Choctaw Stadium now.

Plus unless you have a super-short season you'd have to pack up from GLF for the Rangers anyway
