People (in America) like Football #1 sport. Its a true team sport too. NBA is driven by big names and off court drama. Its season is also Oct into June - that's 8.5 months and then NBA draft plus Summer league. Plus there's games all week long.

NFL reg season is 4 months followed by 2 weeks of crammed playoffs and then 3 week of 3 games. Teams only play 1 game a week.

Winter-spring FB is offseason when there is no NFL (or CFB). Its short 10 weeks+2 weeks of 3 playoff games.

That was until XFL came back for XFL 3.0 and now there is 18 weeks of games+2 weeks of 3 playoff games. Now that IS alot of Football!. I'm not sure that's sustainable. But for the first full year both leagues played averaged ~630k viewers across 86 televised games. That's pretty darn good. Again sustainable or would both leagues benefit from less games/weeks in a combined (or solo) league... likely yes.

USFL is going for sustainability while XFL goes for a knockout punch. Can either make it? Both? None? The disruption in linear TV-cord cutting, weakness in streaming, and health of media companies is coming at the wrong time for spring FB.
