Will they even play this game?
DK has Birm -3.5 o/u 45.5
I like Birm here - they lost to Houston already - two losses could jeopardize playoffs. Plus their off is better. Rain may equalize passing attacks.
CJ will need to pull another rabbit out of his hat.

At least the adjustment they made for today made the most sense:
Perhaps the lead in which ended prior to 2pm allowing the USFL to start earlier on NBC with a direct lead will be helpful.
Very good game so far 17-12 Birm.

Well Birm got the win and the game got the over. Close game until fumble for TD in 4th. Shame they had to start it early but much better than yesterday. got about 2.5 hours on NBC with a direct lead in Peacock at $12 for year worth it.
McGough hands down MVP. Stallions in playoffs.
What's the full playoff pic?

Muddy. My knee jerk reaction is that Houston has an advantage over New Orleans and Memphis assuming ties due to their victory over Philadelphia and that New Jersey has the advantage over Pittsburgh and Michigan assuming a tie based on their head to head (New Jersey would need to beat Pittsburgh twice for a three way tie). Having said all of this, if New Jersey wins tonight, I have no idea.
Well, really I have no idea anyway. I overthink the tiebreakers sometimes because I think they're written fairly vaguely. Like, if you have a three way tie, there is more than one way to break it in terms of head to head, so I never know which way they're using...
I'll be curious to see the permutations after tonight's game.

We now know. Both North games are win and in playoffs, losers go home. South Birm is in and Hosts the playoff. If Memphis losses they are out and winner of NOLA v Houston gets in. If Houston beats NOLA and Memphis wins its a 3 way tie for 2nd... Need clarity on what happens there.Invaders wrote: ↑Sun Jun 11, 2023 5:58 pmMuddy. Yeah. I honestly didn't see NJ beating Philly, which is funny because the USFL is a league of parity if nothing else. haha. What a great game though.
Anyway, I think the results of the other week 10 games will come into play in the case of a 3 way tie (or honestly even if there's a 2 way tie between Houston and NO - I hadn't seen that Houston would automatically go through in that scenario) as it seems like it will be decided by the third tie breaker - Strength of victory (aggregate won-lost percentage of teams defeated).
I thought that favored Houston with their win over Philly, but that's potentially out the window after Philly lost to NJ...
