“ Hearing that our good friend of the program @kevinkugler will be involved in the @USFL @FOXSports/@FS1 broadcasts.
The other team will be @curtmenefee and @joelklatt.
Kevin was previously in the booth for @TheSpringLeague.

Also it is rumored Jac Collinsworth will be in the booth for NBC.

Menefee and Klatt returning from the XFL broadcast team. In the word(s) of Miranda Cosgrove... "interesting."

I think they’re a good choice but I can’t lie I was a bit disappointed no Gus Johnson. Idk enough about Collinsworth to have an opinion on him but his dads a good announcerjohnnyangryfuzzball wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 11:19 am Menefee and Klatt returning from the XFL broadcast team. Same here with GuJo but if it's true about Kugs dropping in that's good too. Remember he's been doing the Final Four on Westwood One (as he just did) and also did SNF/occasional MNF before FOX called him up twice: Once when Joe Buck was doing MLB playoffs, the other when Thom Brennaman took his ill-fated trip to FC and never returned as there's a drive to deep left field by Castellanos and that will be a home run. Him having done TSL last year is a good sign that it is.herns wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 12:05 pmI think they’re a good choice but I can’t lie I was a bit disappointed no Gus Johnson. So it's not like they believe so little in their own product that they're just using guys that they have whenever they have an overload of 1:00 games or NBC with XFL1.0 (though it did launch Matt V's career).

NBC USFL Analyst named
https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2 ... fl-on-nbc/
>> NBC announced that former Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett, Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan, and former 49ers and Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson will be serving as analysts this season. Jac Collinsworth and Paul Burmeister will handle play-by-play duties.
None will be working this weekend as FOX will produce the game coverage while NBC does pregame, halftime, and postgame coverage. Curt Menefee and Joel Klatt will be one of their broadcast teams with Kevin Kugler, former Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, and Brock Huard also in the mix.
Zora Stephenson and Corey Robinson will do sideline reporting for NBC and Sara Perlman will host halftime and postgame coverage. <<

Re: USFL announcers (Fox is confirmed by SBJ)
Was he trying to say that FOX is producing both games (Sat and Sun)?
And yes to Real Rob thanks. I can only imagine the day RW was traded Rob's over there, while he has to play it up on NFLN, he's saying "Bout time Pete, only told you about that seven f.....n years ago!"

I think that would be the case for week 1. I wouldn't be surprised, given how intertwined everything is (Fox's LA affiliate is handling instant replays for Pete's sake) and given that everything is in one location, if Fox is producing all of them and sublicensing things to NBC.

I’m pretty sure it’s just that for opening night and nbc is in charge of halftime and pre/postgame showsjohnnyangryfuzzball wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 9:35 pmI think that would be the case for week 1.
