I honestly think the more expensive qbs were a mistake. The only one who looked to be worth the big contract was Josh Johnson, the stars came from the more unknown guys walker and Ta’amu specifically, as well as guys like Cornelius and Perez over their franchises expensive qbs

Maybe. Certainly from an on field performance perspective, Landry Jones and especially Cardale Jones didn't earn their contracts. But both of those guys pulled some weight from a marketing perspective; I don't know exactly how to grade that. Regardless, the point is more about the level of investment the league was making in the quarterback position, and I think it's inarguably a step ahead of USFL 2023. (And a step or two behind the CFL.)
