Welcome to our XFL Week 8 – Players of the Week – “Fan’s Choice” results. Voting began immediately at the completion of the final game on Monday. We gathered over 2250 votes before the closing of polls at 18:00PM Eastern on Tuesday April 11, 2023. We thank all who voted!
Fans were asked to nominate any player they deemed worthy of the honor, in three categories: Offensive, Defensive, and Special teams. Winners below are based on the number of votes received for each player.
XFL Offensive Player of the Week:
#4 Juwan Green, Wide Receiver, Seattle Sea Dragons
Juwan Green was amazing with two huge touchdowns featured in his seven catches for 142 yards. In the game against the DC Defenders, Green averaged 20.3 yards per catch with the longest being 56-yards.

Jordan Ta’amu, Quarterback, DC Defenders
- Great game with 4 TD passes, 65% completion percentage, with 247 passing yards. He was the main reason why DC was able to beat Seattle this week. (Anonymous)
- Completed 17 of 26 passes for 247 yards and four touchdowns plus 13 rushing yards in the DC Defenders victory clinching a playoff berth. (Bert)
Chris Blair, Wide Receiver, DC Defenders
- Big time receiver for the Defenders, 5 catches for 148 yards and one touchdown. (Front Guy)

Ben DiNucci, Quarterback, Seattle Sea Dragons
- DiNucci came to play with 28 of 42 passes for 301 yards and three touchdowns. (January)

XFL Defensive Player of the Week:
#45 Will Clarke, Linebacker, Arlington Renegades
Will Clarke racked up two sacks, three total tackles, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in the Arlington Renegades win over the Orlando Guardians. An essential performance in a much needed win that kept Arlington in second place in the South Division.
The fans said:
- Two sacks paired with a fumble and a fumble recovery he also got. Best stat line for any defensive player this week and helped hold the Orlando offence who’s been on fire in recent weeks. (Anonymous)

Honorable Mentions
Trent Harris, Defensive Linebacker, Houston Roughnecks
- 1.5 sacks and four total tackles including a tackle for a loss to help Houston throttle the San Antonio Brahmas. (Go Roughnecks!)
- Harris was key to the Houston victory that led to them clinching a playoff spot. (Anonymous)
Santos Ramirez, Defensive Back, DC Defenders
- Came up big in a key moment. Sacked Sea Dragons quarterback Ben DiNucci on a conversion attempt that would have won the game for Seattle. (DC Fan)

XFL Special Teams Player of the Week:
#12 Gary Jennings, Wide Receiver, St. Louis Battlehawks
With the St. Louis Battlehawks down late in the fourth quarter, hand being forced to punt, they faked the punt and passed short right to Jennings. With his running skills he made the touchdown happen, making it all the way to the end zone.

- The Battlehawks were down and needed a touchdown. Fake punt and Jennings was the guy they counted on to score the major, and they picked the right guy! (Maui)
