The UFL season will kick off March 28, 2025. Season tickets are set to go on sale to the general public starting October 15 for Arlington, Birmingham, D.C., Houston, Memphis, San Antonio and St. Louis. Michigan will go on sale at a later date.
As we get the information about the schedules and we are less than 5 months out from UFL training camp, I am happy to see that amongst the new names we have signed, we also have UFL stars Jontre Kirklin, Jonathan Adams, Walter Palmore, Tavante Beckett, CJ Marable, Avery Gennessey, Siaosi Mariner, Jake Sutherland & John Lovett signed as we look forward to 2025. I have been watching tape and I feel Amari Rodgers, Vyncent Smith & Cyril Grayson are about to take off and become UFL stars of their own. With that we have the Memphis jobs seemingly answered in a solid way. There are SO many other players I hope the league re-signs. Jacob Saylors, Justin Hall, Luis Perez, Hakeem Butler, Chris Odom, Breeland Speaks, Davion Davis, Alex McGough, Darius Victor, Frank Ginda, Darrius Sheppard and Rueben Foster are just a dozen who I hope to see back in the league although if we saw half of them back we would be doing pretty well, but I imagine the growth the league will have if we were fortunate to get 10. With only 8 UFL teams there is more talent than spots open. We love to see players like this, because we are fans of these players. I remember something is missing from these players that keep them from making the NFL, whether it be size, speed, strength or immaturity, but not talent. Frank Ginda reads every play and stops it just like the very best linebackers in the game would. Breeland Speaks never stops. It can’t be his desire that keeps him out of the NFL, but at 6-2 he does not fit the size slated for a starting spot in the league, but his relentlessness allows him to always get to the quarterback. Other interesting thoughts. I hope to see Ethan Westbrooks back again. He was better in ’24 than ’23 proving that he still feels he needs to get in shape. He will definitely help a 5 or 6 man rotation at the UFL level. Would PJ Walker help the Roughnecks succeed on the field and at the gate? Regardless of available quarterbacks I think Reid Sinnett has a place in this league. I think like McGough, he may just need to listen a little better, but once McGough did, he led the Stallions to victory. If McCarron does not come back I see him at QB for the Battlehawks. This guy simply puts the ball in his teammates hands. The Battlehawks have many of weapons. If McCarron does come back, he is the perfect #2. So many stories ahead to look forward to including the hope that Abram Smith gets out on that field again.
To confirm…. Alex McGough would be great to have back in Birmingham. Reid Sinnett would be a strong match for McCarron. Sinnett might even learn from McCarron allowing him to carry on the torch after he retires. Or….. Keep him ready for expansion to San Diego should it go that route. Just thoughts.
