BIRMINGHAM, AL – April 10, 2024 – The Birmingham Stallions are returning to the Magic City for their first home game of the 2024 season this Saturday, April 13. Before the Stallions take the field, fans can visit with several of the Birmingham Stallions players and Head Coach Skip Holtz Friday from 5 to 6 PM at Ghost Train Brewing at the Stallions Pre-Game Party and Championship Ring Celebration.
The free event is open to the public. There will be autographs, photos and giveaways. Coach Holtz will be presenting players and coaching staff from the 2023 season with their 2023 championship rings.
Celebrate with the team Friday night, and then make sure you are at the game to cheer the Stallions on as they take on the Memphis Showboats Saturday at 6 PM at Protective Stadium. Gates open at 4:30 PM for Champions Night. A limited number of fans will receive the winning home game poster created by a local elementary student. The winning poster was chosen out of more than 90 entries.
During pregame, visit Stanley Stable Fan Fest presented by Westgate located in the North End Zone Plaza, where there will be interactive game like football toss and field goal kick and a poster station, face painter, and balloon artist.
There will also be an opportunity for younger fans to join the team on the field pre-game for a high-five tunnel. Parents can register their children for this fun opportunity during pre-game at Section 106. New this year, a limited number of children can compete in the 40-yard dash on the field after the game. Register your child in the Fan Fest during the game.
Make sure you are there for pre-game to watch Alex McGough, former Birmingham Stallions Quarterback who is now with the Green Bay Packers, help reveal the 2023 Championship banner during pre-game festivities.
During the game, other local champions will be honored Saturday night, including the UAB and Samford Men’s Basketball Teams.
