After his interview and his 2023 NFL season, I think McCarron was out

But Silvers?  yeah bit of a surprise

Silvers is a backup I'm assuming. As of this morning the Battlehawks only had one QB on their roster, they needed someone in addition to McCarron.

Of all the guys... the one who got his start as the third string behind Christian Hackenberg and Johnny Manziel... the one who went 1-4 for the Dragons in 2020... who didn't even make the USFL in 2022... would be a huge disappointment to put it mildly.

Please tell me he's the backup and that there's another guy coming in.

News outlets have indicated McCarron left the Bengals to join the UFL. But the Battlehawks have not yet announced his participation. I am sure he will only sign when he gets what he needs. The same might be true for Ta'amu. There is no official news yet, even though the pundits say he is coming back.

The speculation is even more so leaning towards that, with McCarron supposedly asking to personally be released so he can be signed.

He’s a huge fan of spring football, loves Brecht as a coach and said he wanted to bring a championship to StL last season after that final game 🤷‍♂️

Becht is still pulling this "big tease" nonsense. Getting tiresome.

That was my opinion too when he started for the Roughnecks. McDonald turned out to not be that good either unfortunately and I feel like inconsistent QB play derailed that possibly awesome season. Phillips and his coaching staff are the whole reason Silvers has a job now.

The only problem I have with the league right now is that it’s close to training camp and I haven’t seen a large move to sign QB’s. I feel like XFL 2.0 figured it out. It’s the most noticeable and important position in football, and you need to prioritize it with familiar names in pro football circles, then again though, I’m sure signing some of these players to be contracts is too much for a cautious league like this. I think Hundley made close to 200,000$ which isn’t a lot in the pro football space but in professional sports and spring football is a LOT, especially for someone who got injured and lost his starting role. That’s dead space. You gotta pick and choose I guess.
