This is GOLD!

There were more than two minutes remaining in the game and San Antonio did end up getting the ball back (but turned it over on downs and lost 31-24). Phillips stumbled across the video about a week later and said it was a “Stupid question.”
We stopped them and had 2 timeouts left when we got the ball back. Stupid question https://t.co/l6xZ8CtjxP— Wade Phillips (@sonofbum) April 19, 2024
Phillips didn’t stop there, either:
I didn’t appreciate being second guessed in a critical moment in the game when tv guy was obviously wrong.— Wade Phillips (@sonofbum) April 19, 2024

No doubt Cubelic, Auburn proud, got a kick out of being Anne Simon to Wade's Bear

But considering Bear was gone nine weeks after the Iron Bowl Wade might wanna dial it down a bit.

I will say in retrospect I always got a kick out of Jesse Ventura going off on Rusty Tillman, a mix of Any Given Sunday (John C. McGinley--I love the fact that dude was in two of the greatest movies ever made, AGS and Office Space, in the same year) and a rebut to John Madden's blatant Cowboy homerism in '95.

Was it professional? Hell no. Was it funny AF? You damn betcha--especially when you had whole sections at Giants Stadium partying with him and all HE'S RIGHT, THIS GUY SUCKS!!!!!!!!

(RIP Rusty)
