Loss like McCarron is at least leaning towards coming back enough to make this move.

Matt Corral? How the mighty have fallen. Remember this clown complained about having to compete for the starting job when he first got to Ole Miss (The other QB? Jordan Ta'amu). Safe to say that DK Metcalf, AJ Brown, and Dawson Knox weren't exactly pushing their teams to claim him off waivers.
Did the league decide they needed their own Baker Mayfield or what?

Corral has talent, it's whether or not he mentally wants to play. That was his issue in the NFL.

Anthony Becht teased a big announcement on Twitter earlier in the day, then deleted it and replaced it with this...
Make of that what you will.

The XFL had more interaction with coaches promoting, AB seems to love it and dives right in. All good stuff.
Now as to who's signing? McCarron? Someone else? Don't count McGough out of the UFL either.
As far as Matt Corral... I LIKE IT. This is the league of redemption, Corral had talent, he's got aturity issues for sure, but that makes him perfect for the UFL. A B-list player with some name recon, a chance to get his career back. Why not? I don't see Holtz with high tolerance if he's issue to plug the plug if needed either. The pressure is on Corral

>> Corral was not only one of most popular Rebels to ever take the field at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, he was one of the best to ever do it. He finished his career at Ole Miss with 8,287 passing yards, 57 passing touchdowns, 1,338 rushing yards, and 18 rushing touchdowns. He single-handedly willed Ole Miss to victory on multiple occasions. <<

Corral also disappeared twice from NFL rosters on two different teams for reasons that were never explained. He got put on some weird non-injury missing list. Never got punished for it by either team but the situation was quite unusual. Sounds like a bit of a head case.
But that said, he could be one of the redemption arcs a league like this would love to have. (could also flame out and be done with pro football in a year)
