Russ Brandon confirms Dean Blandino will be part of UFL

I haven't listened to this interview yet from the ESPN St. Louis affiliate, but UFL Reddit page on "X" said Brandon mentioned Blandino will be a part of the UFL. Wonder if his presence is a sign the league will feature more of the XFL rules.

Never was a fan of Blandino but they can't leverage off Fox (Mike P) as much as USFL so it makes sense.

As far as Rules:

Keep the 1 foot in bounds rule (XFL)
Keep PAT from USFL rules the XFL was too far out (2 pts from 5yd line)
I like the USFL kickoff rules better but can move the kicker up

Just saw the News Hub article where Brandon also brought up working with Pereira again too, so I guess nothing to read into here.

He mentioned both in the same sentence. So, yes nothing to read into. He also mentioned Daryl Johnston. The USFL rules were better. I prefer the USFL's extra point rule and their kickoff rule.

Towards the end, Brandon was asked why there is no teams out west. He said that they might expand out west in the future.

USFL PAT rules way better, agreed. But I do like the 1 foot rule catch rule. More "O".

Blandino has been very critical of the ineptness and incompetency of NFL officiating in recent weeks.

A lot of media who cover the NFL on a weekly basis have started to criticize officiating too, including Rich Eisen, who actually works for the NFL as part of NFL Network.

I hope that ahole Rodger no-so-Goodell isn't angling for all calls from NY or some sh#t.

Mike Florio believes that the NFL won't do anything with officiating until there is a scandal involving referees that leads to a Congressional investigation.
