That's not truly correct. According to what I heard (per an 'insider' sources) the city of Arlington paid a fee to the XFL to rebrand the Renegades to "Arlington" and the Hub usage. Its why I knew (assumed) Arlington hub was coming back. I believe (but not confirmed) its interrelated with their 3 year hub deal.

Your (occasional) reminder that the mayor of Arlington is Jim Ross, however no truth to the rumor he started yelling ROCK BOTTOM!!!!!! x5 when they picked the site.

Besides if they move the Roughnecks to Austin.....................hoo boy :mrgreen:

Jim recognized that when it came to identifying cities with sports franchises the city of Arlington had been beaten down like a government mule.

Apparently, he asked the Texas Rangers to not have their parade in either Dallas or Forth Worth but in Arlington.
