>>  In what could be a precursor to the first Super Bowl he works for Fox, the man who has received a trophy or two in his time will be handing one out.

Yes, Fox is putting Tom Brady to work for his $37.5 million per year. Via Ben Fischer of Sports Business Journal, Brady will award the UFL Championship MVP trophy on Sunday night.

The game between the San Antonio Brahmas and the Birmingham Stallions will be played in St. Louis and televised by Fox. Brady won the Super Bowl MVP trophy five times in his career.

Frankly, Brady should be calling the game. It would be great practice for him, and it would likely add significantly to the Fox audience.  <<

PFT keeps pumping...
And Florio flubbed again, the 2012 game was in London. The 2004 game was in St. Louis (Vinatieri threw a TD pass, Vrabel caught one). Plus his disdain for the UFL is slowly creeping back out.

So if PFT keeps pumping, but it's sewer water, then so what? Eventually you'll get this.

PFT: Brady might use the UFL Championship as non-televised practice

>>  On Saturday, we pointed out that Tom Brady will be present in St. Louis today, with the assignment from his $37.5 million-per-year employer to hand out the UFL Championship MVP trophy. It would make sense for him to be using the Fox game as a way to better prepare himself for his first season of calling NFL games.

Maybe he will.

In response to our X post on the matter, Andrew Marchand of TheAthletic.com said that Brady “probably is” calling the game. But not for TV.It makes sense for him to do that. If he’s already going to be giving up Father’s Day to be in St. Louis for the game, why not use it as a way to practice what he always preaches about hard work and commitment and doing what’s hard and such?  <<

>>The Stallions can’t be stopped.
Birmingham’s spring-league team won both titles in the reconstituted USFL. On Sunday, the Stallions won the first ever UFL championship, 25-0 over the San Antonio Brahmas.
The win rectified the only loss of the Birmingham season.
Adrian Martinez, the UFL’s MVP, also won the UFL Championship MVP.

The title game attracted 27,396 fans, even though it was played in St. Louis and without the involvement of the local team <<

This is amazing:  When USFL was on NBC MFer thumbed his nose, now he's all in.  It only makes sense to me, talk about some FB  but PFT didn't really turn till this year, though they were warmer to XFL.

Cowboys to sign top UFL linebacker Willie Harvey Jr.

New England announced on Tuesday that the club has signed guard Liam Fornadel.

PFT: UFL generates biggest spring title audience since 2001

PFT and MFer have done a 180 on USFL to UFL opinion - and it can't hurt - In fact its a major help to the UFL.

And this sums up the change...

https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootba ... since-2001

>>  The football is entertaining. The players are skilled. The officiating transparency is exceptional. With better strategic planning, marketing, and P.R., the UFL could take off. That’s not a criticism. It’s an observation. I enjoyed watching the games this year. Here’s to an even better second season.  <<

UFL gaining momentum.

If there ever was an example of 'persistence wins over the stubborn'  and proving through 3 seasons the league is not going away to win over the skeptics... This is it.

Winning over media is going to help the league grow, and this was a big one.

>> For players hoping to make an NFL roster, the UFL is a legitimate opportunity to show what they can do. Spring football has talented players, and the best among them will be playing in the fall. <<

Total change in tune at PFT is music to UFL ears - hopefully a steady flow before NFL news takes off at camp time.

And here's another signing and article

>>  Emili, 25, played for the San Antonio Brahmas of the UFL this spring. The Brahmas lost to the Birmingham Stallions in the championship game on Sunday. <<

You might wanna reconsider that from the other thread

>>  The Birmingham Stallions will get a chance to defend their UFL title in 2025. And the other seven teams from 2024 will get a chance to stop them from doing so.Via Eric Williams of FoxSports.com, the UFL will return next year with the eight current teams in the eight current markets. There will be no expansion or relocation. The goal will be to try to build on a successful first season.
~
It will be interesting to see what the UFL can do. Year One counts as a success. Next year, we’ll see what happens.<<

One thing I would say in general to all media, press and pundits... this is really yr three of USFL and two (2.5?)  of XFL.  Sure people need to get used to the branding and the Conference names remind us that this is a continuation...  AKA 3-peat
