Will that be in the UFL though? I can see him sign with a CFL team.
Being on a UFL teams "active" roster may be difficult with only 42 per team. A third QB on the inactive may be possible and if not than CFL if he'll go there. He showed well in the 2021 TSL but that's 3 years ago. Needs to get reps.
As long as he doesn't run into Mark Ingram again he'll be fine.
Dunn didn't do kickoffs at NC State (Trenton Gill), so this looks like your basic bet-hedging. DLH had a lot of TBs at UCF one year, which would put the ball at the 10-15 under the new rule.
I could go either way. On one side it looks like "Oh look whoever was pushing Pat McAfee to come punt in the USFL two years ago finally got their way", on the other it's harmless and it's just an extra leg who could help familiarize Ammendola or Dunn with kickoffs--and it might result in some extra followers. Besides it was the SA-BJ complaining just a month or so back about how the big bad XFL kept Taylor Swift out of the Alamodome, this could be a counter (I'd call it STFU) to them.
